Birthday Boy

It is Thom's birthday today. He has had a fun weekend. Friday night he went and saw Keane with old mate Stuart (Aka 'Pat') who came up to London for the occasion. The concert was at Ali Pali which is only a 10 minute drive from us and a great venue.
On Saturday they kindly went off early to play golf and leave me to write my proposal. Thom has been out on the course again today as I am still working...

Organised Mess

The house is pretty well finished but the study is not sorted yet. As a result I am working on the dining table and sometimes it isn't pretty. How am I ever going to get all of this work done????

New York

A few weeks ago Hayley and I went to New York for 5 days. We had a great time, a bit of everything...sightseeing, art galleries, walking, relaxing in central park and of course a couple of cocktails. We stayed in a very cool hotel called 'The Chelsea'. It has housed Sid and Nancy, Bob Dylan and many artists writers and poets. It has a fantastic art collection in the corridors. The residents made up feel welcome, even though they never took off their sunglasses.
The weather was still warm when we were there so we walked alot and found some great places to eat. I'd definately go there again for a visit. What I wouldn't do again is fly American Airlines...you've been warned!

At the beginning of September we went to Mauritius for a long awaited holiday. It was just what the doctor ordered after all of the moving shennanigans and months of builders dust and renovation management.
